華納家庭娛樂發布新聞稿宣布，哈利波特電影系列8部作品將在2017年內發售4K UHD BD(高動態範圍HDR），首先在2017年3月28日發行的4部作品分別是哈利波特:鳳凰會的密令Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix、哈利波特:混血王子的背叛Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
哈利波特:死神的聖物1Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1、哈利波特:死神的聖物2Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2
而另外的4部作品哈利波特:神秘的魔法石Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone、哈利波特:消失的密室Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets、
哈利波特:阿茲卡班的逃犯Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban、哈利波特:火盃的考驗Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire則在2017內陸續推出銷售
這八部作品將會收錄DTS:X音效規格，另外也會在部分的數位串流平台上發行4K版。

根據德國方面的新聞媒體報導，這次哈利波特系列所發行的4K UHD BD將會支援HDR 10以及Dolby Vision，
不過目前美國方面官方並還沒有有正式的新聞方面，有待官方更新。

終於可以出手帶這個作品回家供奉，哈利波特這系列作品從DVD到BD在到現在的4K UHD BD(應該沒發VCD吧?忘了?)跨了三個媒介，
當初發行DVD沒記錯應該是巨圖發行，而第一部哈利波特:神祕的魔法石規格還是4:3的畫面比例收錄，就此再也沒買過這系列的影碟商品，
隨著BD陸續發行很多驚人的套裝，但始終覺得還能等待，怎知這一等，等到居然會有發行4K UHD BD。
知道會發行4K UHD BD的消息，作品也是陸續發行，並非一次7部作品8支影碟同時發行，既然都等了，就繼續等全部的作品，
上架後會不會有個大套裝來著，還真的有這個大套裝，從知道會發行大套裝就期待會是怎樣的包裝方式發行。
台版得利一開始公布的TIN CASE包裝老實說，有點不太喜歡，因為TIN CASE真的很不優，放久了沒注意就會出現鏽班，而早先看到國外的發行套裝，
居然是4K UHD BD一個大膠盒BD一個大膠盒，兩個大膠盒還真的沒收藏價值，很擔心台版也是會這樣，怎麼知道原來國外製程的問題取消掉TIN CASE的
包裝，改由8支單發用紙盒集結成為一個套裝，就成了現在台版發行的樣式，這樣的包裝方式還不錯算是滿意許多。接下來就是期盼都是華納的魔戒、
哈比人，駭客任務，也能陸續推出4K UHD BD。

台版發音UHD除了DTS:X外，也有收錄國語配音，配置上有一點不是很完整，為何說不是很完整呢，以下解釋
中文發音:UHD碟的部分第1部到第7部有國語配音(台式的口音)。第8部則沒收國語配音。
BD碟的部分則是第6部有收國語、第7部有收錄國語跟普通話，第8部則是收普通話。
字幕方面:UHD碟、BD碟都是收錄對照英文的繁體字幕

加長版只有BD有UHD沒有加長版 英版合集只有UHD 沒付BD 厉害， 德版4K UHD/BD 16碟，8張鐵盒，開盒照，德版的缺點是片名並非英文以及4K UHD並無中文字幕(只看兩部4K UHD字幕選單，BD則無觀看任何一部)，純粹拿來收藏。
用台版來當作比例尺
