本片的中文片名應該是新蜀山劍俠，版主大人可以參考一下聯合報記者將近4年前寫的報導，報導中有附上當年在台灣春節檔上片時的報紙廣告。本片的特效場面真的是非常好看，尤其是吊鋼絲的部份，報導中提到「徐克最大手筆在於瑤池仙堡眾仙女飛天躲避遭血魔附身的丁引時，一次運用五十多條鋼絲讓銀幕上的天仙們同時飛起，當年是極高難度的效果。」這一段，即使是現在看仍然是非常驚人的場面，幾十個人同時吊鋼絲飛身逃離由鄭少秋飾演的丁引。

前一陣子就在Blu-ray.com看到消息，指稱本片會有新的修復版本發行BD，我的感覺是既期待又怕受傷害，因為差不多十幾年前香港就先後發行了所謂修復版DVD以及BD，DVD還是雙碟版，結果兩個版本的畫面卻都是VHS的品質。雖然這次的修復版本只有2K，但希望有好好地修復，最好是每個畫面逐格修復，就算只有達到胡金銓武俠經典的修復水準，就已經值得購買。

以當年的香港電影技術，超出色，無論故事，演員，特技都很好。可惜，要修復整套片就不是那麽容易。
