據報導諾蘭新作提出了以下幾點要素，因而促成這回合作由環球取得發行版權。

關於上面這個部份，THR報導的原始文字是20 percent of first-dollar gross，20%這個部份沒有錯，但是first-dollar gross這個部份需要解釋一下，因為不完全是初期總票房。以去年的天能(Tenet)來說，據說北美上片時，華納可以從票房收入中拿走63%(神力女超人2聽說是55%)，也就是戲院業者只能拿37%，而且是每7天就要結一次帳，而不是以往的差不多一個月左右才結一次帳。若以63%為標準，20 percent of first-dollar gross的意思，就是諾蘭可以從這個63%的票房收入中拿20%，也就是總票房的約12.6％。所以，既不是初期總票房，也不是總票房，因為與戲院業者分帳比例的部份還沒有談，而且還有更複雜的海外市場分帳比例問題，first-dollar gross基本上是很複雜的一個概念。
Cillian Murphy飾演主角羅伯特歐本海默，劇本改編自American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert ...傳記作品，預計2022年初進行拍攝，採用IMAX膠捲攝影機以及65MM大片幅膠(底)片拍攝，作品暫定2023年7月21日上映，院線上映窗口100天。
