Sharp Corp.
Kenji Okamoto
Sharp's 3D LCD technologies providing “bright”, “very low crosstalk” and “very clear image”, those are “UV2A”, “4-Primary Colors”, “FRED-driving” and “Scanning Back Lighting” will be introduced.

Panasonic Plasma Display Co., Ltd.
Isao Kawahara
Panasonic has been an active player in developing and promoting home 3D system including HDMI and Blu-ray, since their first release at CEATEC2008 featuring 103" plasma display. After earning rave review that the system offers the best 3D reality ever, Panasonic declared the development of 3D TVs as 2010's spring product line-ups. In CES2010, a 3D theater system featuring 152" 4x2k plasma, and the world's first 3D camcorder with 3D conversion lens, was demonstrated proving the company's leadership in home 3D system.
To further enhance plasma benefit as self-luminous device, technologies including 4-times efficiency panel, native contrast of 5,000,000:1, short persistency phosphor with 1/3 decay-time, fast driving scheme for 120Hz frame rate are developed. Details of the performance of VIERA as 3D-TV as well as 2D will be covered.

Sony Corp.
Yoshito Shiraishi
Sony developed OLED based 3D display prototype employing frame sequential display technology. On top of high contrast and swift response time as for OLED basic characteristics, this OLED display can realize superb 3D picture images without cross-talk by optimizing panel driving system for the 3D system.

FUJIFILM Corp.
Hitoshi Satou
The presentation will cover development goals and advanced 3D technologies, along with an outline of the FinePix Real3D W3, our second digital 3D camera released this summer, and the functions that could only have been achieved in 3D. System application examples are discussed to probe the utility and future outlook of 3D camera technology.

Newsight Japan, Ltd.
Kiyoto Kanda
This year is said to be a trigger year of 3D. However, 3D business has not yet established as of today, which is my result of research. Lots of 3D projects have been failed by some reasons in the past. We need to learn more about the history of failure of 3D business. Is 3D booming really a business? To make Japanese economy better, 3D is one of key technologies for Japanese manufacturing industry. How to make Japan as “Electronic Nation” again based on 3D technology and business, which is my great concern.

AU Optronics Corp.
Eric CY Chen
The desire for approaching the nature visual experience stimulates the progress of display technology. Stereo display is therefore with great demand and emerging in the market recently, including shutter glasses, pattern retarder, barrier, and lens-type, etc. However, many applications need naked eye solutions no matter how the drawback affects the 3D experience, like low resolution, moiré and the deadzone. In this talk, AUO would like to introduce the advanced naked eye solution, which is high-resolution, moiré-free and deadzone-free. The other exciting feature this technology can offer is 2D/3D mixed mode. The 3D area can be defined and modified arbitrarily real time, which means the naked 3D solution is ready to get into our life. |
