This utility allows you to convert AVCHD MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) content to Canopus HQ AVI, HDV and MPEG-2 program stream files. Simply install the application, and then drag and drop AVCHD .M2TS and .MTS files onto the utility's desktop shortcut, or right-click the file and choose the appropriate option.

The converter can be configured to use multiple CPU cores for encoding a single file in a queue, or parallel encoding of mutliple files in a queue with individual CPU cores.

Note: This software requires that EDIUS v3.0 or higher, EDIUS Neo v1.0 or higher, or a FIRECODER Blu + FIRECODER Writer software be installed on the same system.

Features added in this release:

• Added improved H.264 decoder - conversion speed higher 1.6 to 1.8times than v3.10 of this application. In addition, CPU load is 40-50% less than v3.10, when previewing files
• Conversion algorithm has been improved to provide extra protection from an application error, should the AVCHD file contain incorrect stream
• Optimized conversion priority for conversion when using the right-clicking function (when 'Conversion without schedule' is unchecked, all cores are used in order to convert in the shortest time with this action)
• Canopus HQ files can be used as a source and can also be previewed
• Changes the usage for systems with multiple FIRECODER Blu boards installed, according to the installed memory size. If your system has 2GB or more memory and multiple FIRECODER Blu boards are installed, half the number of CPU cores (up to 4) will be used as per each FIRECODER Blu
• If multi-core conversion fails, single-core conversion will be attempted
• A confirmation message is now displayed when "Abort" is clicked during conversion
• Conversion or preview for multiple files can be resumed (if a file has any problem and an error occurs, other files can be previewed or converted continuously)
• The total number of files and current file number in conversion queue are now displayed (this is only available when two progress bars are displayed)
• Some descriptions of settings have been updated
• Multiple files can be previewed continuously with the right-click shortcut
• Added confirmation message options for "Overwrite?" and "Abort?"
• Added custom bit-rate for MPEG-2 Program Stream conversion
• The application can now be started without installing the EDIUS software, if FIRECODER Blu and FIRECODER WRITER have been installed

Fixed in this release:

• Conversion or preview would sometimes stop at the end if multiple cores are assigned to a single file's conversion or preview
• Conversion or preview would sometimes fail when loading AVCHD files that are not based on the AVCHD standard (e.g. the file has a GOP without SPS)
• Conversion or preview would sometimes fail when loading AVCHD files that contained a null picture frame
• 720x486 HQ AVI to HDV/MPEG file could not be converted
• Multiple conversion would sometimes fail if a folder that included a lot of .MTS/M2TS/AVI(HQ) files was loaded
• Could not stop multiple file conversions using a single converter if "Abort" was clicked when the upper progress bar was on or near 100%
