[New features added in Version 2.0] - Added a feature to connect with XDCAM Station (Professional Media Station) via FTP, CIFS and NET-RMT. - Added a feature that clips shot with left and right cameras are paired and treated as a single 3D clip. - Changed planning metadata display methods and supports the creation and editing of planning metadata. a) - Added live logging function. a) - Added a feature to set essence marks using essence mark list and to edit essence mark list. - Added a feature to export information about clips and clip lists in media or folder. a) - Added a feature to display acquisition metadata (Animation view and Text view). b)

[Instructions for Use]
- About this application - Real-time playback isn’t guaranteed even in the recommended environment. The performance of this software will be different depending on the format/size/stored location of the clip, performance of your computer, etc. - This software may not handle the MXF files and MP4 files created by the products other than the XDCAM series or by the other applications. - When performing an FTP transfer between FTP servers, only FTP server supporting UTF-8 encoding is supported. If you use other servers, they may not work properly. - When files or folders managed by XDCAM Browser are operated with Mac Finder or Windows Explorer, XDCAM Browser does not work correctly on these files and folders. - When files or folders on the Professional Disc are copied with Mac Finder or Windows Explorer, the files or folders may be delete-protected or edit-protected. If a folder including such files or folders is referenced by XDCAM Browser, it will not be allowed to edit, delete, or move them. - When the work folder was changed with the Offline tab in the User Configurations (Mac: in the Preferences), restart this software. - Creating still images from MXF format clip may be failed. It depends on your operating environment and clip format. In this case, please select “original” as the playback mode of the User Configuration. - If Professional Disc is specified to the destination of information of clips and clip lists, output failure may occur. - A file whose name starts with " (0x0020)" may fail to be transferred to FTP-connected XDCAM devices and FTP servers.
- About XDCAM/XDCAM EX devices - It becomes a write-protect mode using the SxS memory card in PMW-500/PDBK-MK1 when writing MXF file whose format is not supported by PMW-500/PDBK-MK1 in the SxS memory card. - “!” mark may be shown on a clip that was recorded via IEEE1394 of XDCAM EX1.
Regarding such a clip, move to the last frame may not be done properly, or incorrect timecode may be displayed. - Regarding a clip that suffered data loss due to a transmission error etc when recorded via IEEE1394 of XDCAM EX, export operation doesn't work properly. The conversion will result in an error, or even if it is completed, recording the data to another device will cause an error. - When a new clip is created or exported using XDCAM Browser by cutting out the section between In/Out points of a clip having discontinuous timecode or of a clip recorded via IEEE1394 of XDCAM EX1, timecode of the new clip may be different from the original. - Regarding an MP4 file that was recorded by an XDCAM EX series product via IEEE1394 and was imported to XDCAM Browser, + 1 frame/ - 1 frame playback function may not work properly in Preview window. - When a medium that provides slow access speed, such as PHU-60 and PDW-U1, is used, play forward/reverse in Preview window may not work properly.
- About display settings - When setting Windows classic by the setting of Windows screen theme, sometimes the part of the screen doesn’t displayed correctly. - When the DPI setting is not 100%, sometimes the part of the screen doesn’t display correctly.
- About export functions - In Windows version, the XDCAM EX clip with multi-byte characters in its clip name may fail to export. - Regarding a file that was exported for Windows Media File/PSP/iPod only for its In/Out section, error of several frames may be seen on In point or Out point of the created file. a)b)c) - For more detailed information on installation of the plug-in software for optional export functions, please refer to the website of MainConcept. - Please note that MainConcept plug-in software for the optional export function has for XDCAM Browser and for Clip Browser; the latter cannot be used in this software.
- About non-linear editors - Final Cut Pro version6.0.6 or higher is required for the operation. But XDCAM Browser doesn’t work correctly with Final Cut Pro X. c) - XDCAM 1920x540p format is not supported in FinalCutPro6. Please use FinalCutPro7.0 or higher. - For HD422 1280x720 50M 29.97P/25P/23.98P formats, please apply Pro Applications Update 2010-02 to Final Cut Pro 7.0. - At present, Final Cut Pro does not support the following recording formats: - SD IMX 720x512(480) 50M 29.97P/23.98P - SD IMX 720x608(576) 50M 25P - SD DVCAM 720x512(480) 25M 29.97P - SD DVCAM 720x608(576) 25M 25P - Notes for Export operation from Final Cut Pro: - When exporting an MXF file of XDCAM HD 422 720 50p/60p to an XDCAM device, you must make a duration of an even number of frames. It is not possible to export in odd number of frames. - The MP4 file over 4GB (e.g. the duration is about 14 minutes or more) cannot be exported to an SxS memory card. - When an MP4 file is exported directly to an SxS memory card, you must follow the specification of XDCAM EX. The exported file also needs to be updated by an XDCAM EX device. - Avid editor does not support Volume mounting and automatic mounting of AVI files exported with XDCAM Browser. Please import files individually. - The specification of Avid editing system is recommended to be the latest version. b)
- About the connection with XDCAM Station
- When downloading a recording clip from XDCAM Station via FTP, you can select only FTP-connected
XDCAM devices.
- In Mac version, the limitation of the number of clips in a media is recommended to be less than 600. If there are more than 600 clips, XDCAM Browser may not work properly.
- Please do not disconnect from network while loading clips and clip lists from CIFS-connected XDCAM Station.
- Please use a function to connect with XDCAM Station in a stable network environment. Please disconnect and re-connect to the XDCAM Station if the part of the screen doesn’t display correctly or a function doesn’t work correctly.
- In Mac version, XDCAM Browser may not work properly if you operate to an internal storage in XDCAM Station from other PC or other network applications while loading clips and clip lists from XDCAM Station.
- About Live Logging function
- When recording with PMW-500, if you disconnect from PMW-500, editing information will be cleared.
- When connecting to PMW-500, if planning metadata files is loaded to PMW-500, clip list information in a material field may be cleared.
- Please use Live Logging function in a stable network environment. Please disconnect and re-connect to the XDCAM devices if the part of the screen doesn’t display correctly or a function doesn’t work correctly.
- Using with other network applications, Live Logging function may not work properly.
- About planning metadata file editing
- When copying related clips using planning metadata, Take information in the clip may be cleared.
