兩位主創Neil Druckmann以及Craig Mazin，明確的表示第二季不可能完全涵蓋電玩遊戲的Part II的劇情內容，因此不太可能只有一季(第二季)，會有多少季無法透露。

第二季會拆成兩部分，第三季有望開發，除非收視率不好，不然不會終止在第二季，第二季按照先前HBO 戲劇主管 Francesca Orsi，考慮編劇、演員工會罷工的事件，第二季暫定2025。
