Try to help to answer your question, then I did a google search.

1080 (number part) just mean the resolution is 1920x1080 (1080 for the vertical pixel).
However, the p and i part, P is not stand for the Pixel. (Which I thought it was)
P is short for Progressive scan, and I is for interlaced scan.
Short conclusion is 1080p is better than 1080i, base on this website.
But it should not bother you too much, due to the difference only happen in the video source and cam recorder.
For "GoM TV", I've never heard about that. Can not help you there.
But the Master Google will always bring you some surprise.!! |
