英國的BBC將以Super Hi-Vision的規格轉播奧運

英國國家廣播電台（BBC）本周宣布，將以高達4320p及22.2環繞聲道的超高畫質（Super Hi-Vision）技術轉播今年7月27日至8月12日於倫敦舉行的2012年奧運賽事。

BBC負責測試Super Hi-Vision的Tim Plyming表示，該電視台除了使用全新的Super Hi-Vision攝影機與麥克風外，還從日本運來了特製的轉播車，同時亦與NHK團隊合作打造首波Super Hi-Vision奧運影片，將有3台Super Hi-Vision攝影機分別拍攝倫敦的奧林匹克體育場、水上運動中心Aquatic Centre，以及籃球場，同時也會以Super Hi-Vision轉播奧運的開幕與閉幕典禮，並會將超高畫質的視訊訊號傳送至全球。

為了讓民眾能夠真切體驗Super Hi-Vision，BBC在英國設置了三個Super Hi-Vision放映場地來轉播奧運賽事，除了具備可支援超高畫質的大型螢幕外，也能重建22.2聲道的環繞音效，除了英國外，日本福島與美國華盛頓也都將設有Super Hi-Vision奧運劇院。

Super Hi-Vision is set to be aired for slightly longer than the length of the “Games Period” – starting on the 23rd of July, two days before the first event, and finishing up with the closing ceremony on the 12th of August.

The Beeb has named three venues for the trial; the BBC broadcasting house in London, the National media Museum in Bradford, and BBC Pacific Quay in Glasgow.

BBC to Test Ultra High-Definition TV at London 2012 Olympics


The BBC will conduct Super Hi-Vision trials during the London 2012 Olympics, which run from July 27 through August 12.

A digital video format developed by Japanese broadcaster NHK, Super Hi-Vision has a resolution of 7680-by-4320 pixels and 22.2-multichannel surround sound. It's also known as 8K, 4320p, and UHDTV.

A crew made up of BBC and NHK staff will use the world's only Super Hi-Vision equipment to shoot a variety of sporting events at the Olympic Stadium, Aquatic Centre, Velodrome and Basketball Arena, as well as live coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies.

NHKはオリンピック放送機構、イギリスBBCと共同で、スーパーハイビジョンによるロンドンオリンピックのパブリックビューイングを日本、イギリス、アメリカで行う。

スーパーハイビジョンとは'20年の試験放送開始を目標にNHKが中心となって開発している次世代型のテレビシステム。現在のハイビジョンの16倍の情報量に当たる3300万画素の超高精細な映像に、22.2マルチチャンネル音響を実現できるため、あたかもそこにいるかのような臨場感を得られる。
