今日發現 Denon 3808 Firmware 可以更新，
但暫未清楚有什麼重大改動，
遲些再通知大家!

為什麼這次的下載都會當機，己經兩次了，都會在某些檔案的更新就停止了，不知樓上網兄這次的更新花了多少的時間，

過幾天再試吧。這些天全台出國數據線路有點奇怪，但是我並不知道真正的原因。

To check the firmware version keep "status" and "return" pressed while turning on the power (the little button).
After the receiver is done booting, you can scroll through a variety of info screens by pressing status.

Reported by Denon USA owner the following Denon change log info and are fixed in firmware 1.95 reported available September 17, 2008 for 3808/4308:

- The unit does not come back to the last state of playback when we turn off the power during playback Internet radio then turn on.
- The customer has connected a "USB-Stick memory" with more than 4GB. Random-function of USB devices is not active.
- Drop-outs via Ethernet playback from PC with "Windows Vista".
- Addition of up-grade function.

BUGS/UPGRADE ISSUES
HDMI random dropouts reported by several owners of some Projectors and some Sony TV's. The receiver will then re-sync the signal.
This occurs during playback of various sources at random times. Not a Denon only problem.

FIXED/IMPROVED
1. When stopping a radio station stream by holding down the enter button on the remote the display does not return and show folder station list.
Holding down enter button to stop stream the display now returns to station folder list.

2. When a song is paused, browsing music server or USB folders behaves erratically. Browsing now works when pausing song.

3. When receiver NET/USB music server playback of MP3's that have UTF-16 formatted tags last letter missing of title, album, artist.
Last letter now displays for UTF-16 formatted tags.

4. Internet radio continues to actively stream when receiver turned off (large power button, standby mode) and power saver turned off.
This behavior is now the same for both Internet Radio and Local Music server streaming with power saver turned off.

5. Net Radio and Music server track information right to left scrolling shows up to 65 characters on receiver front display
but only up to 53 characters on TV display before being cut off. Now same number of characters.

Once in a while, I experience the same issue below but I thought it was caused by my cheap HDMI cable. Will give it a try tonight and to see if can fix

I am not sure ...
Luckily, I don't have this problem.
My HDMI cable is cost around HK$600

我下載也是停住…

雖然警告不可關掉電源，可是一直耗下去也不是辦法，就按off了

按on後就開始更新。

花了一個下午的時間。

Firmware version 1.95, GUI DAT = 37750019 *LATEST EUROPEAN* - 3808/4308 owners report (firmware update reported September 28, 2008):

BUGS/UPGRADE ISSUES

1. Web controller NET Audio the Album or Song does not automatically update on web page when changes during play.
Work around click on back arrow navigation control left of 'stop' button on Net Audio web page and wait for refresh showing current Album.

2. Web controller Setup Menu, Information, Audio Input Signal displays incorrect format 3/3/.1 when should be 3/2/.1 as displayed in GUI interface.

3. Receiver continues to display album art image with screen saver turned on and active (4308 only).

4. When receiving 'connection failed' trying to update firmware Denon technical support advises on or about September 9, 2008 owner having Comcast ISP:
"The reason why you are experiencing the "connection failed" when trying to access the firmware update is because Comcast takes
   much longer to make the connection than the receiver will allow. The AVR-3808CI will take about 30 hops before it times out waiting for
   the connection. While Comcast takes about 40 hops to connect. Therefore the connection is never made for the download.
   We are well aware of this issue and if there is a firmware update for comcast users we will make it available.
   You can take or send the unit to an authorized Denon service center and they will update the receiver with the latest firmware version.
   The other option, if possible, is to take the unit to a friend or relative's home where a different ISP is used.
   You will be able to complete the firmware update."
   Note: Based on Denon's explanation, this issue is not exclusive to Comcast and may be encountered with other ISP's or due to your ISP's current network traffic conditions when trying to update.

FIXED/IMPROVED

Reported by Denon USA owner the following Denon change log and are fixed in firmware 1.95, GUI DAT = 37750019 reported available September 28, 2008:

- Translation mistake in German.

- Translation mistake in French.

- Translation mistake in Swedish.

美國同英國 Denon 已經可以網上登記及比 US$100 搞，
OK 後， 10 月就可以係屋企連線新加之前講既三項功能!

香港多數網頁唔會 support 之餘，
收價要 HK$1,000，仲要自己送到 Denon 個度。

有小道消息更加話香港無咁快搞到 tim!
所以請大家自行諮詢台灣 Denon，
再有相關消息通知大家!
