Responsibilities

• This position will report to DTS Product Management
• Work closely with Product Manager for allocating resources for performing audio/acoustic performance evaluation and tuning
• Evaluate the audio/acoustic performance of DTS products
• Evaluate the audio/acoustic performance of licensee products withintegrated speaker system including laptop PC, TV, docking station, etc.
• Suggest ways of improving audio/acoustic performance of licenseeproducts based on performance evaluation and fine tune licensee products
• Collaborate with R&D/Engineering in performing sound quality evaluation and tuning
• Collaborate with Licensing/sales in launching new products to customers
• Collaborate with Licensing, R&D/Engineering, and FAE for after sales support

Qualifications/Experience

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Physics (MS will be a plus)
• Minimum of five years of experience in audio system or speaker system design
• The following skills are strongly recommended:
  • Understanding of audio system, speaker system and acoustics
  • Experience in measuring acoustic & electrical performance of audio system
  • Experience in tuning the speaker & audio system
  • Capability of performing sound quality evaluation
• The following skills are recommended, and will be a plus:
  • Understanding the audio post processing algorithm
  • Experience in tuning audio post processing algorithm
  • Experience in electrical circuit design
• Should possess English Speaking and Writing skills
• Fluency in second language, preferably in Chinese, Japanese or Korean highly desirable
• May require up to 30% traveling internationally, destinations may include countries such as PRC, Japan, Korea, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Public speaking and polished presentation are required skills
