Bekah is Graduating from After School C8 m7 U) }& `9 C( a; g
After School has always received attention for their unique ‘admission’ and ‘graduation’ process. The first unofficial ‘graduate’ was So Young who left to pursue acting. After this a steady stream of members were added to the group without anymore graduates, until now.- y. g/ ^7 P% J8 M1 h x# a
- |0 l5 u# ~* k4 qBekah who is a part of the first generation of After School and is known as the “charismatic rapper” has been an integral part of the group since their debut in 2009. Today it was revealed by a Pledis employee that Bekah has requested to be withdrawn from After School. Family distress combined with a wish to continue her education to study design has prompted Bekah’s decision to return home to Hawaii. 0 D- r% V% u; ?. `7 s5 I& s/ f7 b) p0 k+ d/ E$ J4 B& @ N5 M
Pledis commented, “After thinking about it for a long time with other After School members, family, and company, Bekah has decided to ‘graduate’ from After School and move back to Hawaii to continue with her dream of becoming a designer.” . J- N1 @3 r# e8 s' q$ i- d8 K2 I( w
Never one to be negative Bekah stated she was happy with her time and experience as a member of After School. She will maintain a close relationship with her group members who are like family to her. Due to her design skills Bekah will stay involved in the group by helping to design After School’s upcoming album. Writing through Pledis, Bekah expressed, “I am preparing my graduation project while thinking of all of the happy times and experiences I’ve made. In the future, when my designing skills improve, I hope to design an album for After School as a gift.”+ B# R( V7 }4 J3 Z4 {! }# H
' O$ m( c5 V" d# s8 XBekah will have a ‘graduation’ photo shoot and fans will get to spend time with her before she leaves South Korea. Bekah is said to have written a solo song which is being referred to as a ‘graduation piece’ to express her true heart and feelings to fans. Bekah’s last day as a member of After School will be July 1st.

With news of Bekah’s ’graduation’ from After School yesterday most fans probably assumed this shocking news would be the biggest change to the group line up for awhile. + q6 [$ s6 R7 c/ M& N! |( Q$ C. K# x' _
But, a recent news article has revealed After School’s Japanese label Avex has been holding auditions to recruit either one or two new members of Japanese descent to the group. 1 x6 P# T+ [* B
b) H# g3 e! |+ k, @6 gRight now there is no official word from Pledis. But, with After School’s pending Japanese debut a few weeks ago there will definately be information out soon to confirm or deny this rumor.

After School’s Second Sub-Unit “AS Originals” ( b3 @' r& k6 o1 L ~+ z

The first mini album will be released in either September or October. They re-recorded the songs they already had – - Nana will take over Bekah parts in rapping. They should have promotional activities in South Korea since it will be a mini album.- p5 d! S/ T5 }# a2 b& g, f" A
+ Z' ~4 @* ]+ a5 ]6 f5 WThere will be two title songs and they were all recorded without Bekah. One is hiphop, and the other one is a softer kind of track. There will be three MVs. Bekah’s solo song will be a digital single. (May be included on the mini album)
